As an open-hearted gardener, I love to give people advice on how to help nature thrive in their outdoor spaces. I’m happy to get my hands dirty digging out unwanted plants, but know that I’m also going to advocate for native wildlife and plants.

Need help learning about growing your own food or how you can help build varied habitats in your garden? I’m the person for you.

Also available in human nurturing mode. I can help you navigate, take notes, body double for tasks, remind you that self care is a thing that exist, clean your kitchen, or your calendar.

How do I do it?

I was raised as the most feral of 4 outdoor, nature loving kids. Clambering up trees, making fires to cook on, whittling random useful objects, often described as a cross between Peter Pan and Robin Hood. Child-like wonder and a high sense of justice. And mischeivous.

But plants were always my thing. Watching them germinate, helping them to thrive and grow, my bedroom was my indoor lab. The world was my garden.

Alongside this, my dad was very ill. Getting me outside was one way my mum could ensure I burned off some energy. And although I don’t think I was aware how ill dad was, I also knew he needed looking after. Nature and nurture are intrinsically linked.

How can you help me?

Let’s be clear. I’m here to help you. But these relationships are so often two-way.  I need clear, consise things you want to know about, or jobs that need doing. Vague instructions or “how can I encourage nature in my garden” will get you vague outcomes.

Likewise with support, I don’t need to know why you need support, just how I can support. I’ll be clear, I’m not a professional carer, but I do support. Holistically.

I also have ADHD, so I need a bit of grace if I’m struggling to be eloquent, or if I need prompting to respond. I’ll hold my hands up and apologise.
